Scrip
Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase Scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use Scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.
The ALA Scrip program will share 50% of your Scrip profits with:
- A student attending a WELS/ELS elementary school
- A student attending ALA
- Your own congregation
You will receive a profit statement in June following the accumulation period which is June 1 to May 31. You will indicate on this statement where you would like to apply the profits and return the statement to ALA.
Jill Kaiser sells scrip at Emmaus. You can purchase scrip after church and before and after school.
